Product Datasheets
| CX43
Gap junction alpha-1 protein (GJA1), also known as connexin 43 (Cx43), is a protein that is encoded by the GJA1 gene on chromosome 6.As a connexin, GJA1 is a component of gap junctions, which allow for gap junction intercellular communication (GJIC) between cells to regulate cell death, proliferation, and differentiation. As a result of its function, GJA1 is implicated in many biological processes, including muscle contraction, embryonic development, inflammation, and spermatogenesis, as well as diseases, including oculodentodigital dysplasia (ODDD), heart malformations, and cancers.
| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Mouse CX43 spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.| Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |

| Cell Lysates(n=8) | 92-105 | 102 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Mouse CX43 and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.| Tissue Homogenates(n=4) | Cell Lysates(n=4) | ||
